How to use it

  1. 1. Examine objects in the room to find items and clues.
  2. 2. Select an item from your inventory, then use it on something in the room.
  3. 3. Enter codes on locks; ask for a hint if you are stuck.
  4. 4. Escape, then try again for a faster time or fewer hints.

One room, several locks

The study belonged to someone who did not want visitors leaving. Every puzzle can be solved with what is in the room: numbers hidden in plain sight, an object that only makes sense next to another, a note that means more the second time you read it. No outside knowledge is needed.

Hints come in stages, from a gentle nudge to a clear answer, so you can choose how much help you want. Your progress is saved in your browser, and the game records your time and the number of hints used when you escape.

I'm stuck. What should I do?

Use the hint button. The first hint only points you in the right direction; later hints are more direct.

Does it work on a phone?
